In Africa the past colonial and imperialist crimes by the white west are informing how black Africans will do things. I personally do not trust the west. Right now the white people are testing their drugs on black people without them knowing. So for me the west are pure evil and not China, the same goes for Japan, very evil too.

The thing is, technology is science based, not cultural based, some Westerners have long been considering themselves a higher position towards to others, simply because they had the black powder from the East and made firearm, then used it to conquer, expanded the wealth and needs, eventually promoted the technologies and productivity, and started to think they were superior to the rest of the world and white supremacy is real. Same goes to the Americans, thinking "if I block you, you would be dead in no time." The fact is, technology is all about money and manpower/talents, as long as you have both, then all you need is time.

In the past, before of the emerging of China Tech company, all over the world is using western technology and protocols. Even today, Microsoft still dominates the whole world on document processing software. Why there is no privacy concern about western company stealing our data?

It so happens that I live in one of the countries that banned Huawei. Now I will get 4G which is a HUGE jump. Only last month, it was still 3G ! And this country is supposed to be an advanced economy ! I think it is not much better in the US either. The way I see it is that the US finds itself trailing behind China, but it simply doesn't have the technology to match Huawei, so the best way to deal with its inferiority is to ban Huawei so that no one knows how bad the situation really is. I suppose when it is not who you are, but who your friend are. When you have friends whose intent is to drag you down along with them, then you are with the wrong crowd.

Good on Huawei for its persistence, and now it has brought out its own chip and is looking at getting into EUV machines.
