It seems there is no sin in the land where this story was made
The wife had a complicated character. She felt guilty that her husband suicided himself b/c he was much depressed due to her affair. She talked with her husband when he was alive and even when he passed away that she always loved him. However, if one looked at the entire series, the story showed that she could NOT ever forget her lover and had another man in her heart.
