Hey Jess, Indigo Ridge was just meh for me. I absolutely hated how Griffin put Winslow down for questioning the suicides. He did it throughout the book and it was so belittling and disrespectful that I ended up kind of hating him…
Amy Harmon has a recent book called The unknown beloved, which looks good and has free audio so crossing my fingers I'll like it…
Christina Dodd! She's a master in all romance sub genres, from contemporary to historical to paranormal and suspense; I can't think of a bad book from her list. Since we're talking suspense and small towns, I'll recommend The Virtue Falls Series: 4 full novels, 4 couples plus the story of the town's Native American sheriff Kateri Kwinault which is the glue and spreads among all of them. I have re-read series a couple of time, can't get enough Kateri & Stag Denali.

Great video – I've read and loved several of those books. I also enjoy RS by Toni Anderson, JD Robb, Rebecca Zanetti, Debra Webb, Lexi Blake, Marie Force (Fatal series), Amanda McKinney, Rita Herron and Cherry Adair (Stark brothers), Adrienne Giordano.
Whiteout by Adriana Anders is so good. l loved the setting and the action. The second book in the series is just ok. And Indigo Ridge got me hooked with Devney Perry.

I’m pretty hooked on Susan Stoker. All the books follow the same formula but it seems to be the only trope I can stand to read the same of over and over. Love her books.

My fave romantic suspense authors are Karen Rose, Laura Griffin, Nora Roberts, Mary burton (although hers are romance-lite), Linda Howard, Suzanne Brockmann and Sandra Brown! I don’t see most of these talked about on booktok or booktube so I really appreciate the recent romantic suspense videos I’ve seen!
Kristen Ashley is good at romantic suspense. I’m slowly going through her backlist.
You're all missing out! For romantic suspense, it's got to be Karen Rose. I found her in 2010, and 26 books later she is still my favourite author of this genre. Most of her books are organised in series based around cities but they can all be read as stand-alones. If you like series, I suggest Chicago, Minneapolis and Baltimore. If you don't care about reading a whole series or reading a series in order, I'd recommend starting with "I Can See You" (the book that started it for me over a decade ago) or "No One Left to Tell".
after finishing the parallel series i realized i like suspense romances so ill definitely check these out! (although it's definitely more romance than suspense but it was a page turner bc we were trying to figure out who is trying to harm the main characters!)
